Winds Across the Prairie

Douglas County CASA's 5th annual benefit concert featuring the University of Kansas Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dean Paul Popiel, is planned for Friday, September 19, 2025 at Triple R Ranch, a private property in southern Douglas County. Guests will receive a gourmet picnic dinner provided by Evan Williams Catering to enjoy during the concert. Tickets go on sale June 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.!
Our goal for 2025 is to raise $200,000 to support our work of best interest advocacy for children from Douglas County who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Winds Across the Prairie is a beloved evening of beautiful music, gourmet food & gorgeous views that takes place at a different picturesque, private Douglas County setting each year and brings together the talented musicians of the KU Wind Ensemble with music-loving child advocacy sponsors and supporters. In 2024, sponsors, attendees and additional donors came together to raise over $170,000.00 to support critical advocacy for local children who have experienced abuse and neglect. We are all humbled by their compassion and generosity.
