Learn from experienced Kansas professionals about how the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) affects children in Child in Need of Care cases. Participants will gain an understanding of the purpose and applicability of ICWA for children served by CASA volunteers in Kansas. Trainees will be able to identify which professional is responsible for different requirements under the law and learn tips to help them provide effective advocacy to ICWA eligible children in Kansas.
